About Kindling Texas Kitchen:
Located on the up and coming main street in Cibolo, Texas; Kindling Texas Kitchen, provides regional heritage Texas cuisine cooked over a wood fire. Sourcing ingredients from local Texas farms, and ranches, as well as bringing in product from the Gulf of Mexico. Our Chef’s are classically trained, practiced in Austin, and dedicated to bringing something special to small town Cibolo.
With a full dinner menu, Brunch on Sunday’s and a well stocked wine, craft beer and classic southern cocktail bar, there is something for everyone.
Chef Justin Hammerson, was born and raised in Cibolo, Texas before honing his beautiful knife skills in Austin, Texas cheffing for some of the biggest new names in the Austin Dining Scene. Chef Gwyndolyn Hammerson was born and raised in Austin Texas where she grew her career using historic techniques in several noteworthy Austin Restaurants.
The house at 209 N Main was built in 1911 by Mr Otto Brotze, Justin’s 3X great uncle, where his family spent many years gathering around the wood fire stove in the dining room. Come in and ask The Chef’s about more cool facts about the history of the house.

At 1908 House of Wine & Ale, we’ve worked to blend innovation with tradition. Our building was constructed in 1908 as a boarding house. We kept the original character by using the genuine interior walls and material from the early 20th century, but we’ve updated with some modern flair. With six ales on tap, 30+ craft beers, 60 types of wine, we have a selection that’s perfect for both relaxing with a drink or gathering with your friends. We even have wine on tap. That’s right — we have wine. On tap.
