Insurance Relief during COVID-19

 

Many of the insurance companies we partner with at Ellis Insurance Agency recognize the uncertainty and financial challenges we are facing as the nation bands together to slow the spread of coronavirus. Whether you have a Personal or Business Insurance policy with one of the many companies we represent at Ellis Insurance Agency, many are taking steps now to help with relief during this time.

One of our main priorities during this unprecedented time, is to continually communicate updates that your Insurance Company is offering you, your family and/or your business.  We will continue to update you as soon as we are informed of these changes.

For those that have a Personal Auto policy serviced by Ellis Insurance Agency, the below insurance companies are offering the following:

Progressive – 20% April and May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment. If you have paid your policy in full, the April and May 20% will be sent back to the you.

Travelers – 15% April and May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment. If you have paid your policy in full, the April and May 15% will be sent back to the you. Extending billing relief plan through June 15, 2020.

Mercury – 15% April and May monthly payments. They are trying to send back to all customers to the last payment method used.

Safeco – 15% April and May monthly payments. They are trying to send back to all customers to the last payment method used.

Nationwide/Nationwide Private Client – $50 per policy refunded to last payment method used.

Hartford – 15% April and May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment. If you have paid your policy in full, the April and May 15% will be sent back to the you.

Kemper – 15% April and May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment. If you have paid your policy in full, the April and May 15% will be sent back to the you.

Germania – $25 per auto policy for April and an additional $25 for May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment on the policy. If you have paid your policy in full, the $25 each will be sent back to you.

AllState – 15% April and May monthly payments will be credited to the next payment. If you have paid your policy in full, the April and May 15% will be sent back to the you.

State Auto – 5% one-time discount will be applied to next renewal for all auto policies in force as of June 1st. They are also allowing people to sign up for Auto Safety 360 (monitored driving) with an initial discount of 10% and up to 50% at next renewal. See Auto Safety 360 YouTube video HERE.

CARES Act

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act is full of provisions designed to help small businesses. This law is intended to help small businesses with cashflow and liquidity issues caused by COVID-19.

Small businesses and sole proprietors can apply for a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program. The Department of the Treasury is advising small businesses “to apply as quickly as you can because there is a funding cap.”
