After four years of helping Insurance agencies all over the state of Texas write commercial insurance, Eric brought his commercial experience in 2009 to Ellis Insurance Agency to help provide the high level of service each business owner deserves. Eric graduated from Texas A&M University in 2001 and earned his Certified Insurance Counselor Designation (CIC) within a year of starting. Eric is currently taking courses to earn his Certified Risk Manager Designation (CRM) in order to better serve his clients. He believes that a good insurance agent won’t just sell you a policy but be a resource for your business.

After a short retirement Gilbert could not stay away from his passion for insurance and joined Ellis Insurance Agency in 2009.

Gilbert owned and operated an independent agency focused on writing commercial insurance and the many years as a business owner allow him to provide expert commercial insurance advice to his clients.”

Kevin has been with Ellis Insurance Agency since 2000 and specializes in all types of Commercial Insurance products. He received his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation from The National Underwriters Company and The Hartford School of Insurance in 2007.

Kevin worked as a general contractor for many years and is very familiar with the special needs businesses require. Kevin prides himself in taking extra care of all his clients in the most convenient manner possible and in making his level of experience available to those who need it.

Jerry founded Ellis Insurance Agency in 1980, with the expressed intention of helping people who needed insurance get the savings that they deserved as well as offering courteous and professional treatment that everyone should enjoy. Jerry is still going strong with his belief that has also inspired a purpose of being and agency motto which is “In Business to Help People.” Jerry prides himself through professionalism and putting the customer first by going above and beyond for each and every individual that comes to Ellis Insurance Agency.

David is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, BBA 1975 and brings over 36 years of professional business experience to your assistance.

David became a Licensed Insurance Agent in 2003 when he joined Ellis Insurance Agency and always strives for excellence in earning and maintaining the customers trust and respect; always ethically putting the customers first, and ensuring that they have the coverage they need and want at the best affordable prices.

Leigh Martinez, Licensed Insurance Agent  – Leigh@ellisinsure.com
Leigh joined the Ellis Insurance Family in 2011. She brought with her many area of experience in the insurance industry.

She spent 6 years in the insurance claims department for USAA and 5 years as a licensed agent after that. Leigh focuses on providing exceptional service to our personal lines clients. She works directly with Jerry Ellis by setting up new business quotes and renewal quotes for personal lines clients.

Neal joined Ellis Insurance Agency in 2006. His goal was to learn everything about the insurance business from the ground up. After some time learning the agency management system and tracking production Neal became a licensed agent and has now transitioned into the agent role. Neal is excited to be in a position to help people with their insurance needs and he works hard to provide a high level of service for his clients.

Nicole has been working in the insurance business since 1994. She takes pride in the establishment that her father (Jerry Ellis) has worked to build over the past thirty one years. Simply put Nicole has the same beliefs as her father, “In Business to Help People.”

Her primary goal as an office manager, licensed insurance agent and customer service representative is to ensure that each and every single customer that comes to Ellis Insurance Agency save as much time and money as possible.

Melissa Trott, Licensed Insurance Agent, Personal Lines Manager  – Melissa@ellisinsure.com
Melissa started with the Ellis Insurance family in 2003. Melissa works with customers, mortgage companies, and lien holders to handle all servicing needs for personal lines policies.

Her main function is to work with the personal lines agents to help endorse policies, quote new business, and shop competitive pricing for our renewal clients. Melissa feels that helping a customer achieve their goals with a new or existing insurance policy is a great reward.

Rachel Diaz, Licensed Insurance Agent, Commercial Lines Manager – Rachel@ellisinsure.com
Rachel started with the Ellis Family in 2010. She brought with her a high level of insurance knowledge. She has worked her way into the role of Commercial Lines Manager. She is responsible for handling all the endorsement, certificates of insurance, new business quotes, and remarketing of the renewal policies.

She works directly with the commercial lines agents to make sure the commercial department maintains the high level of service expected by Ellis Insurance Agency.

Vanessa Sandoval, Customer Service Representative  – Vanessa@ellisinsure.com
Vanessa joined Ellis Insurance Agency in 2011. She has been a welcomed addition.

She works with both the personal lines and commercial lines managers to make sure our systems are up to date and data is correct.
She also assists agents with client billing invoices.

Cheryl Van Wyck, Receptionist  – Cheryl@ellisinsure.com
Cheryl joined Ellis Insurance Agency in 2011 and has been a welcomed addition. She has vast experience in the administrative field and the mortgage industry.
She knows the importance of timely and professional customer service. Her experience in the mortgage industry has given her an understanding of the need for accurate and quick response when closing on a purchase or refinance of your home.
Her professionalism is always on display when she is dealing with clients over the phone or in person and her level of customer service is unsurpassed.
